Un canyon complet!

A tributary of the Alcanadre, the Formiga river has carved a narrow and deep ravine that will not leave anyone indifferent. A combination of lights and shadows that gives it a magical appearance and where we will also find examples of the use that man has made of rivers and their surroundings.

Along with La Peonera, it is one of the best-known ravines in the Sierra de Guara. Its permanent flow all year round makes it one of the most frequented water descents in summer.

The Formiga is a playful and complete canyon, perfect for beginning or improving canyoning techniques. It combines jumps (up to 7 meters), siphons, flooded straits, chaos of blocks, natural slides, rapids, aerial approaches, and dry and cascading rappels.

This descent is the ideal activity to spend a good day with friends and family, as well as for those who want to start canyoning, including people without any previous experience.

Description of the activity

At the established departure time it will be necessary to be at the door of the office with your own vehicle to collect the material and meet the guide who will accompany us throughout the tour.
Remember your swimsuit, food, water and sneakers!

From the office we will follow the guide’s car to the parking lot where the activity begins.

From there we will make an approach walk in a swimsuit during which we will cross a large cave-refuge and a ledge, always secured to a life cable.

After doing a first rappel and once in the water we will put on the neoprene and enjoy the descent!
