The most popular in Alquézar!

With an atmosphere of the Grand Canyon of Vero, it is the most popular descent in Alquezar. Its cliffs sculpted by the water welcome us as soon as we arrive at the town and extend 8 km upstream.

The walls full of covachos and shelters excavated by erosion for thousands of years stand out in the landscape of this canyon. Some of them were in prehistory a place of refuge for man who has left his mark on the landscape through cave paintings, many of which can be visited today.

The Vero Inferior allows us to travel a section of this spectacular canyon through a water descent, whose permanent flow makes it possible to enjoy it throughout the year.

During its tour, jumps, siphons, block chaos, dark, down-climbs, natural slides, narrow passages, rapids and water trekking are combined. Many of these steps are avoidable if desired.

Due to its simplicity, it is the recommended descent for families with small children or those who want to have a first contact with canyoning through an easy and affordable activity. No previous experience is necessary to do it.

Description of the activity

At the established departure time it will be necessary to be at the door of the office with your own vehicle to collect the material and meet the guide who will accompany us throughout the tour.
Remember your swimsuit, food, water and sneakers!

From the office we will go up to the town of Alquezar where the activity begins.

From Alquezar we made an approach march in swimsuits to the river.

Once in the water we will put on the neoprene and enjoy the descent.
